Surgery remains the best modality, either by itself or in combination with adjuvant treatments in solid tumors. The Department of Surgical oncology brings to bedside the best diagnostic acumen coupled with the state-of-art surgical expertise. Department is equipped to perform all major cancer surgeries and associated reconstructions. We provide expertise in the care of patients with breast, head and neck, GI, Urologic, Gynecologic, thoracic and soft tissue malignancies.

  • Head and neck malignancies: Larynx Conservation Surgery, Total Laryngectorny, Total Larygectomy with partial Pharyngectomy with PMMC flap reconstruction, Total Laryngopharyngo Oesophagectorny for hypopharyngeal cancers, Hemiglossectomy & Total Glossectomy , Composite resection for oral cavity malignancies, Supraomohyoid neck dissection/Modified radical neck dissection/Radical neck dissection, Hemi & total Thyroidectomy, Superficial and Radical Parotidectomy , Composite resection for submandibular gland malignancy , Partial & total Maxillectomy, Wide excision of vascular and other soft tissue tumors
  • Breast malignancies: Breast conservation surgery, Modified radical mastectomy, Sentinal lymphnode biopsy, Breast reconstruction ,Axillary lymphnode dissection

  • Urologic malignancies: Radical Prostatectomy for Cancer Prostate, Radical cystectomy for Bladder cancer ,Radical Nephrectomy for Renal cell cancer, Retroperitoneal Lymph node dissection for testicular cancer
  • GI malignancies: Radical surgeries for Upper and Lower GI Malignancies, Staging Laparotomy, Total/Distal gastrectomy ,Colectomy Hemi/Total, Anterior resection/Abdominoperineal resection, Retroperitoneal tumor excision
  • Achievements : Robotic thyroidectomy is a new technique for remote assessed thyroid surgery which leaves no visible scar in the neck. So far, we have operated on 3 patients with this technique using a retroauricular approach with superior results.
