Meenakshi Mission Hospital College, a division of the Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre (MMHRC), as an internationally renowned centre for education, offers unique job oriented fulltime courses affiliated to Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal for the last 16 years besides a recognized centre for research and training in medical, nursing, paramedical and management from the day of its inception.

Most of the full-time courses offered at MMHRC are first of its kind in Asia developed with the aim of imparting skill based training to healthcare professionals of tomorrow’s need.

AFRCS

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh has bestowed the recognition to MMHRC to train doctors seeking to appear for the AFRCS Examinations.

Doctoral Studies

  • MMHRC holds the distinction for being recognized by the Madurai Kamaraj University and MGR Medical University for Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr.Ramesh Ardhanari, our Medical Director.
  • The Medical Council of India has recognized MMHRC for Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship (C.R.R.I) and senior house surgeoncy for medical graduates.

UG Courses

MMHRC is contended with the affiliated status of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University (TNMGRMU) which is a government medical university and is the second-largest health sciences university in India.

The College has well furnished, separate Hostel for Boys and girls and Student Mess within the campus

Library

The well-stocked Library at MMHRC serves all user groups at the hospital, to update their knowledge and skills. It is the only referral academic library at the hospital and serves as a centre for primary information resources. Health professionals can access up-to-date, high quality and reliable medical information. New titles are added regularly.

It offers a wide range of relevant information, literature, documents and records apart from audio cassettes, CDs, print and e-journals for information, research and reference. This rich repository of information offers books on medicine, management, hospital administration and even Siddha medicine. International and national journals are available for keeping abreast with world trends in medicine and health care

Timings

  • The library is open from 9am to 9pm on all working days.
  • It is open from 10am to 1pm on Sundays & Holidays.
  • Our library has access to a Digital Library which ensures easy access to relevant information, including resources, which include books, journals, websites and research papers to suit the local medical conditions and environment.
