Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC) donated Rs 2 lakhs to the 44th chess Olympiad hosted by Tamil Nadu Government.
On behalf of the Hospital, Dr. S. Gurushankar, Chairman, MMHRC called on Dr. S. Aneesh Sekhar, Madurai District Collector at the Collectorate to hand over the cheque towards the Chess Olympiad fund.
Dr. S. Gurushankar, Chairman, MMHRC said, “Our state Tamil Nadu is hosting the Chess Olympiad for the first time in Chennai. This donation is small support for the same. Madurai Collectorate is conducting various events to promote the Chess Olympiad in Madurai. The torch-relay of the Chess Olympiad is bound to reach Madurai on July 25. It is a proud moment for us.”
