Cancer management at the Department of Medical Oncology and BMT at MMHRC is holistic and highly influenced by the latest developments in the field of cancer research. A specialty that deals in delivering state of art protocol driven chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy to cancer patients with aseptic precaution. Most therapy is being delivered as “day-care” without need for admission.
Tumor board driven protocols
The Department plans treatment for each and every patient through tumor board discussion for best precision and practices.

Bone marrow transplantation
The team regularly performs stem cell transplant for adults and children with hematological cancers and solid tumors namely:
- Autologous stem cell transplant
- Allogenic stem cell transplant – matched and haplo identical stem cell transplants

- The Department runs various global and national phases 1 to phase 4 clinical trials that can bring in the latest therapies to deservjng patients through such regulatory trials. The department is a part of NETWORK OF CLINICAL TRIALS OF INDIA, a BIRAC ( Govt of India ) initiated project for developing clinical trial networks under NATIONAL BIOPHARMA MISSION.
Post graduate course in DNB Medical Oncology under National Board of Examinations, New Delhi
- The department runs a 3 year full time Medical Oncology Super specialty program that enables doctors aspiring to become medical oncologists train in an academic environment with exposure to all specialties under one roof.
