Meenakshi Mission Hospital organized an awareness bike rally to mark World Head Injury Awareness Day, is observed annually on 20th March to educate the general public about traumatic head injuries. The bike rally was flagged off by Mr. Arumugaswamy, Deputy Commissioner of Police – Traffic, Madurai in presence of Mr. Thirumalai Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Madurai, Dr K Selvamuthukumaran, Senior Consultant & HOD – Neurosurgery, MMHRC and Dr B Kannan, Medical Administrator, MMHRC.
The Bike Rally was started at Meenakshi Mission Hospital. This awareness rally saw participation of over 100 passionate bikers. The participants of the rally wearing helmets drove the vehicles for nearly 10 km at slow speed to create head injury awareness among the public.Most of themcarried placards with messages on head injury awareness.
