Dr. B.C. Roy National Award
The Medical Council of India instituted Dr. B.C. Roy Award in 1976 in memory of Bharat Ratna Dr.B.C.Roy. Dr.N.Sethuraman, Founder Chairman of Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre was awarded with this prestigious award by the President of India for Medico Social Relief in the Year 1998.
Golden Peacock National Quality Award
Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research centre has received Golden Peacock Award for Quality in the year 1999.

Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre was awarded the ‘Best Hospital Award in the specialities of Gastroenterology, Emergency & Critical Care, Neuroscience and Nephrology & Urology in Tamil Nadu’ at the 1st edition of CII TN Medclave Conference 2021 in November 2021.

Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre was awarded the ‘Best Hospital Award for Cardiology Specialty in South India’ and the ‘Best Hospital for Patient Care in South India’ by ET Healthworld at their ET Healthworld Health Tech Summit in March 2020.
Excellence in Quality Award 2020
Meenakshi Mission Hospital was awarded the Excellence in Quality Awards for Best Cancer Care Hospital and Best Orthopedic Care Hospital at the 12th edition of TANCARE organised by FICCI and the Government of Tamil Nadu. The awards were given by the Health Secretary Tmt. Beela Rajesh IAS.
The Smile Train, USA
The good work done at the Smile Train centre for Cleft lip/palate at MMHRC has been well appreciated by The Smile Train-USA for mobilizing persons living with cleft lip/palate and providing more than 2000 quality corrective surgeries. Dr. S. Gurushankar, Vice Chairman was received at The Smile Train Central Office, New York, hosted at lunch and awarded a citation.
Credibility Alliance Certification
A consortium of voluntary organizations, “Credibility Alliance” conferred Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research centre with accreditation for Good Governance of Voluntary Organizations. The hospital is one among the 27 NGO’s in India to receive this honour.
Reward for DRI Services
In recognition for the timely medical services rendered to the people of Tamilnadu, the Tamilnadu Social Welfare Board and Direct Relief International, USA (DRI) appreciated the services of MMHRC. His Excellency, Shri Surjith Singh Barnala, Governor of Tamilnadu honored Mrs. Susan Fowler, Senior Programme Officer and her team-mates from MMHRC, with a citation at the Raj Bhavan, Chennai.
State of Illinois, USA
In recognition of the humanitarian services rendered by MMHRC in treating the injuries and illnesses of the Tsunami victims free of cost, in collaboration with the Direct Relief International-USA, MMHRC was awarded a citation by the representative Susana A. Mendoza, State of Illinois vide House Resolution Number 668, Ninety Four General Assembly, House of Representatives-USA.
